Exercise Boot Camp For A Cure

Looking to get in a good workout while raising money for a good cause?

You can starting November 5th.  A boot camp will be held at the Albertville Recreation Center and put on by Independent Beachbody Coach Marnnie Caldwell.  She will be assisted by Chris Pearce, a personal trainer.  Half of the money raised will go to three different charities on behalf of three Marshall County children facing terrible diseases at a very young age.

The boot camp will be held at the rec center's track located at 915 W. McKinney Avenue in Albertville.  The sessions will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  A morning session will be held from 6 am to 7 am.  If evenings are better for you, an evening session will be held from 6 pm to 7 pm.  The boot camp will run for three weeks.  Cost is $45.00 a week.  If you have a yoga mat please bring it.

For more information and to sign up contact Marnnie Caldwell at (404) 801-5676 or email her at marnnie35@gmail.com

About the children:

Hailey and Hannah Shores are twin three year old girls from Grant.  They have Cystic Fibrosis.  This disease has caused them to have surgery at an early age and they are required to have intensive breathing treatments daily as this disease attacks the lungs.  Money raised on their behalf will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Alabama.

Tristan Picard is also from Grant and is eight years old.  He was diagnosed in 2011 with a rare stage 3 form of lymphoma called ALK+.  His treatments went well for a period of time.  A few months ago he relapsed but is doing better thanks to new treatments and his cancer has shrunk by 60%.  Money raised on his behalf will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Charlie Nash is 3 years old and lives in Guntersville.  He was diagnosed before he was born with heart defects.  At such a young age, Charlie has already endured four open heart surgeries.  Family members say planning a funeral is an unfortunate plan that's constantly on their mind.  Money raised on his behalf will go to benefit research for young children who have congenital heart disease.
