Woman swallows drugs during arrest | Crime
Two people are in jail after a traffic stop in Boaz turned up various drugs.
Police said they arrested 57-year-old Travis Burgess and 50-year-old Conchetta Hudson of Albertville during a traffic stop near on the Sonic on Highway 431.
The stop led to the discovery of propranolol hydrochloride pills and items used to manufacture methamphetamine.
They were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Hudson was also charged with possession of prescription medication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
When the two were booked in Boaz City Jail, Hudson was found with marijuana. She was additionally charged with promoting prison contraband and possession of marijuana second degree.
Hudson reportedly swallowed some of the drugs during the arrest and was taken to Marshall Medical Center. She will be booked in Marshall County Jail when released.
