Police in Boaz charge a man with multiple crimes after an incident at Wal-Mart Sunday.

30 year old Ricky Ray Amos is being held on Robbery, Assault of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Attempting to Elude and Assault.

Police were called to the store to check out a reported shoplifting. According to police reports, when the officers arrived, they say Amos hit a Wal-Mart assistant manager, employee, and a 17 year old shopper who was trying to get away from the fracas. When the officers moved in, Amos tried to run, and attacked them when they caught up with him. A patrolman suffered injuries to his left knee, left leg and elbows during the scuffle. He was treated and released from MMCS.

Amos is being held without bond.
