Woman charged after baby tests positive for drugs | Crime
Boaz, AL (WAFF) - A Marshall County woman is being held on a half-million dollars bond after her newborn child tested positive for meth.
31 year old Laura Jean Murphree was arrested Sunday after she was discharged from the hospital. She's charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, and is being held on $500,000 bond.
The child is still being treated at an undisclosed hospital.
