4th person arrested in Marshall County drug trafficking operation

ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A second former Albertville High School soccer player is in custody facing federal drug trafficking charges.

19-year-old Antonio Soriano is one of four people arrested in a Federal undercover operation.

Soriano was picked up in Marshall County and placed in Federal custody Thursday.

According to the indictment the investigation was ongoing last year as the two then student athletes were playing soccer.

Soriano now joins Christian Corrales who was transferred to Federal custody from the Marshall County Jail Wednesday after he was picked up in recent weeks.

The indictment states the sales of illegal drugs was done between January and September of 2011.

Jimmy Dale Scott, Jr. and Brandon Glenn McCollum who were also indicted recently by a Federal Grand Jury as part of the undercover operation.

Both Corrales and Soriano are being detained until they go before a Federal judge on Monday.
