Man files federal lawsuit against city of Albertville | News

The city of Albertville is being targeted in a federal lawsuit which claims the city is profiting from a municipal court order for restitution.

Jarrod Benefield filed the lawsuit Friday.

His lawsuit claims the city charges $500 restitution in plea deals regardless of any reason for the restitution.

Benefield seeks class action status for his lawsuit.
