A dispute over some appliances led to an attack and attempted arson in Albertville.
According to Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls, the incident happened around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. 39 year old Christopher Hill of Boaz went to a home on Sectionline Road in Albertville to pickup a washing machine and dryer he'd stored there. Hill saw the appliances were gone, and confronted the home owner who was supposed to be watching over them.
The confrontation escalated to the point where deputies say Hill poured kerosene in the home and tried to light it on fire. Hill also struck the homeowner with his fists multiple times, according to Sheriff Walls. The victim says Hill left the scene after the attack. He was arrested at his home in Boaz about two hours later. Hill was charged with Burglary, Assault and Criminal Mischief.
The victim is still unsure what happened to the appliances.
