Homero Martinez Jr., 33, is in the Marshall County Jail on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine.

Officials with the Marshall County Drug Enforcement Unit said his arrest is the culmination of an ongoing investigation.

The charges deal with his selling twice at least an ounce of meth in a series of buys in an undercover operation.

DEU Commander David Chandler said search warrants were executed at a home in Boaz as a part of the operation before Martinez was taken into custody.

Martinez is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $200,000 cash bond.
