ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A fight inside a Marshall County restaurant sent a man to Huntsville Hospital with serious injuries.
Albertville Police said a beer mug was used as a weapon, and the victim received a skull fracture as well as a broken jaw.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday night at El Sol King Pollo Restaurant on Main Street.
Albertville Police said 42-year-old Amaneul Seyoum, believed to be of Haitian decent but living in Albertville, was flown to Huntsville Hospital after the altercation in the restaurant with another man.
Police believe a disagreement coupled with alcohol use prompted the fight.
They said they're getting close to locating the man with whom the victim had the altercation.
"As soon as the altercation happened, the offender left the scene. We were able to get a partial tag and a description of the vehicle and we later, the next morning, found what we believe to be the vehicle," said Assistant Chief Jamie Smith with Albertville Police.
The victim remains in Huntsville Hospital at this time and is listed in good condition.
