Kitchen Cops; eight low performers

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Marshall County health inspector gave the K-May Donuts on 431 in Albertville a 67. There were four critical violations, one for food temperature problems. The inspector reported meat pastries, sausage and eggs at room temperature. They also cited K-May for a worker drinking in the kitchen and for not having a food safety certified manager on hand.

Momma Goldberg's Deli in Boaz scored a 79. The inspector reported chicken salad being used past its expiration date, that the ice maker and a can opener blade needed cleaned, and that they found a worker's drink cup on a kitchen prep sink.

The Sonic on 431 in Albertville scored an 81. The health inspector reported mold on the soda nozzles and loose wires on an onion ring sifter.
