College football forecasts - week 10

College football forecasts - week 10

It's week 10 of college football.  Looks like another great week of games.  And a pretty nice Saturday weather-wise for the games of local interest.

Alabama has the marquee matchup, travelling to Baton Rouge to take on LSU in a night game in Death Valley.  The winner of this one is in the driver's seat to win the West and get a slot in the SEC Championship Game.  It will be the 3rd time the Tide and Tigers have met in the last 12 months.

Holy Heat Wave Batman! 5 ways to keep you cool!

Holy Heat Wave Batman! 5 ways to keep you cool!

The next couple of days are looking brutal as we go through weekend. If you are not heading to the lake or the pool this weekend, your options in staying cool are limited. After all if you stay at home, eventually is going to get boring and the book you been meaning to finish will be finished...hopefully. I have some other options to beat the heat.

1. Time to break out Rock Band! You remember that game right? You slap the bass, have your buddy plays lead guitar, your roommate who is always mad at you beating on the drums, and find someone comfortable enough to sing in front of the rest of the group. With a huge library of songs to play from the game or download, this game will last for hours. Depending on the songs that are played, this could be a family fun affair!  You could even have theme parties where everyone has to dress like a rocker or the decade. Let your imagination run wild on this.

The Walking Dead Video Game Review

The Walking Dead Video Game Review

I love The Walking Dead! Just like most of the America, I was glued to my TV set watching episode by episode! The next day we come into the office and talk about last night's crazy episode and debate what we wished would happen in future episodes. We just can't get enough of our rag tag group of survivors - dealing with one problem only to find another! Then there are the Zombies! Just like those said zombies, I can't get enough of the show; I want to consume more and more of it. You can imagine my excitement when I heard that there was a downloadable video game for my X-Box 360 (also on the PC and PlayStation 3).

Right now there are two downloadable episodes you can play for five dollars an episode. Telltale Games, the developer for Action Adventure and Role Playing game, has slated this game to have a total of five episodes.
